Job Summary

At Houston Methodist’s Center for Performing Arts Medicine, this Project Specialist position provides oversight to the employee arts enrichment programs offered systemwide. This position is responsible for moderately complex, project-oriented assignments which include leading, coordinating and completing projects related to operational activities. Employee Arts Enrichment programs describes CPAM’s passive and participatory arts experiences created to build resiliency, deepen connection, and provide respite for health care workers. The Project Specialist position must be resourceful in seeking solutions, focus on the wellbeing needs of Houston Methodist employees, be pro-active and have the ability to handle multiple projects at one time with extreme attention to detail. This position works under the guidance and direction of management and is accountable for high-level support functions, project work and compliance activities including analysis, implementation, coordination, and reporting of project activities initiated by or assigned to department. Additionally, this position serves as a resource in facilitating the implementation and/or rollout of initiatives and tracks to ensure implementation is meeting scheduled milestones. This position will be responsible for the creation of new employee arts enrichment initiatives in response to the changing needs of the hospital system, as well as, the current offerings. An ideal candidate will be creative, an excellent communicator, be comfortable working with a variety of artistic genres, and have a passion for utilizing the arts for holistic wellbeing.
