Job Description Summary
The Recreational Therapist is responsible for gathering patient information through the utilization of standardized assessments. The Recreational Therapist conducts individualized and group treatment planning, treatment implementation and evaluation to restore, remediate and rehabilitate specific aspects of patients’ physical, cognitive, emotional or social functioning. Recreation programming must meet the requirements outlined for Recreational Therapy program with a special emphasis on patients in skilled nursing beds. Performs under the direction and supervision of the Director of Patient and Family Services and works in collaboration with patient’s medical care team.
