Opera Omaha invites applications and nominations for the position of Community Opera Fellowship Manager available immediately.

The Community Opera Fellowship Manager is responsible for the implementation, management, supervision, coordination, and evaluation of the program for the Holland Community Opera Fellowship. They will report to the Director of Engagement Programs.

The Community Opera Fellowship Manager will join Opera Omaha at a critical time in the Company’s history, building on a radical program that redefines how an opera company serves its community(ies). The Holland Community Opera Fellowship leads the field in civic practice – building deep relationships outside of the performance venues. The Holland Community Opera Fellowship is transformational, and as a result supports the creation of an inventive, creative, empathetic, and inclusive community that inspires joy, self-discovery, kinder discourse, and opportunity for all.

The Community Opera Fellowship Manager is responsible for connecting and fostering the connections between Community Partners, Holland Community Opera Fellows, Community Panel members. To succeed in this position, the Community Opera Fellowship Manager will bring experience in managing a team, experience working with community program development and demonstrated cross cultural life experience and competency, demonstrated interest in and commitment to community and a proactive growth mindset.

Those who have Arts in Health experience would be perfect for this role as HCOF’s priority is to help community partners reach their goals as they work to provide a better quality of life for their communities and serve those who may have limited access to arts experience and programming. Populations we work with include seniors, adults with disabilities, individuals experiencing homelessness, immigrants and refugees, and incarcerated youth.
