Virtual Healing Music Choir Experiment Proves to be an Ideal Stress Relief Tool.
Today, in response to the current health pandemic, the Virtual Healing Music Choir is being re-introduced. Singers are called to participate in a self-care activity using a wordless healing music modality, proven to lower stress, increase focus and quality of sleep.
Researchers of “psychoneuroimmunology” found that immunity of medical students went down every year under the simple stress of the three-day exam period. Test takers had fewer natural killer cells, which fight tumors and viral infections. What happens with the anxiety being produced over the fear of coronavirus.
The virtual healing music choir is an ideal self-care activity through the arts, for all ages. It’s a way to reduce stress and anxiety, and build community, even in isolation. It’s an ideal tool for caregivers, in public settings and at home.
Virtual music choirs were begun in 2009 by Emmy award winner Eric Whitacre. What began with 185 singers, has now grown to more than 8,000 singers, aged 4-87, from 120 countries.
Inspired, Eliana Gilad, two time TEDx presenter, author and pioneer of an ancient healing music modality, researched in a 50/50% Israeli-Palestinian neonatal intensive care unit during the mid-east crisis, vowed to establish a virtual healing music choir.
Multiple benefits of Voices of Eden healing music modality
- Reduces anxiety and increases inner calm.
- No words eliminates the language barrier. Effective worldwide.
- Those care-giving an elder family member or children find healthy activity to do together.
- You sleep better.
- Wordless vocals (e.g. humming), is great for brain health.
The big audacious goal is for singers to submit tracks by April 30 – – this modality is based upon an ancient science of sound parting waters (shown in Gilad’s second TED talk).
The live healing music meditation will be accessible free to the public; ideal for caregivers, first responders, those in hospitals and children and adults shut down at home.
Founder, Gilad, walks in faith. She calls on those wanting to contribute to the wellbeing of mankind to contribute to this project. “Together, we will heal”.
