The Jameel Arts & Health Lab is seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Associate to join the Lab beginning in May 2024.
This position will work under the supervision of Dr. Nisha Sajnani, a Founding co-director for the Jameel Arts & Health Lab (the Lab). The Lab was established by WHO Europe, NYU Steinhardt, Culturunners, and Community Jameel. With a focus on excluded and underserved communities, the Lab leverages a global network of research partners to measure the impact of the arts on our health and well-being and to accelerate the implementation of interventions for which there is good evidence.
The Postdoctoral Associate is expected to increase their methodological and substantive knowledge of the arts and health, build skills for developing and implementing research studies, and have opportunities to lead and/or co-author manuscript publications. In line with project funding, this position will be available from May 2024 – August 2025 and may be renewable contingent upon the availability of funding.
Applicants must have completed their doctoral degree within the last five years in either public health, creative arts therapies, psychology, epidemiology, social work, or a related field and have a comprehensive understanding of statistical concepts and methods; qualitative methods, proficiency with scoping and systematic reviews; excellent oral and scientific communication skills; analytic skills; and ability to conduct self-directed and collaborative research.
