 George Family Center for Healing Arts ArtWise Rx: Arts Prescription Program 

Position: Care Coordinator Location: Rowan University/Hybrid Schedule: Part-Time, Flexible Hours 

Position Overview: The George Family Center for Healing Arts at Rowan University is seeking a compassionate and organized Care Coordinator to support the implementation and growth of ArtWise Rx, our arts prescribing program. This role involves working with both Rowan University students and Rowan Medicine patients to connect them with art activities in our community to enhance health and wellbeing 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as the point of contact for students and patients referred to the ArtWise Rxprogram.
  • Facilitate intake and follow-up communications to ensure supportive, personalizedreferrals to artistic and cultural experiences.
  • Maintain an updated directory of arts programming and resources across RowanUniversity and in the wider South Jersey community.
  • Collaborate with university staff, healthcare providers, and artists to ensure smoothimplementation of prescribed arts engagement.
  • Track participation and outcomes, and gather participant feedback to improve theprogram.
  • Assist in organizing and promoting arts events related to ArtWise Rx.
  • Support the George Family Center for Healing Arts in fostering a creative and healingculture throughout campus and clinical spaces.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Experience in arts in health, community engagement, or student support services.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a caring and inclusive approach.
  • Familiarity with arts-based interventions and an understanding of the power of creativity to support mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
  • Ability to work independently, stay organized, and collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Comfort working in both clinical and campus settings, with sensitivity to confidentiality and ethical considerations.

Required Credentials: 

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Minimum one year of experience in a related field such as healthcare, community outreach, or arts programming.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, data entry, and email communication.
