The Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Public Health & Wellbeing to lead our innovative Healing Arts and Creative Placemaking programs. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role requires a passionate advocate for Arts in Medicine who is well-versed in the latest research, adept at measuring impact, and skilled in building meaningful relationships with administrators, patients, staff, and musicians. Our Creative Placemaking programs place artists in the stream of life, including mass transit hubs and other public spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
● Develop and oversee comprehensive action plans to deliver all Public Health & Wellbeing programs, aligned with Sing for Hope’s mission and goals to be artist- and community-sensitive.
● Craft and implement strategies for program promotion and revenue generation.
● Identify and cultivate partnership prospects, develop compelling partnership proposals,
and steward relationships with co-investment partners and grant supporters.
● Design and maintain rigorous evaluation and outcomes protocols, utilizing both qualitative
and quantitative methodologies to assess program impact and inform continuous
improvement.
● Engage in community initiatives that further social enterprise goals.
● Maintain a robust Artist Roster, including recruiting, auditioning, training, supporting, and
effectively and consistently evaluating the musicians who power our programs.
● Engage partners and stakeholders to garner community support and solicit feedback for
program improvement.

Who You Are:
● A leader with a deep understanding of Arts in Medicine and a passion for integrating the arts into healthcare settings.
● Skilled in developing and maintaining partnerships, with the ability to engage a diverse range of stakeholders.
● Experienced in program planning, implementation, and evaluation, with a proven track record of designing and executing impactful research and assessment initiatives.
● An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships with administrators, patients, staff, and musicians.
● Committed to the mission of enhancing public health and well-being through the arts, and eager to drive innovation and scalability in this field.
Preferred Qualifications:
● 5+ years of experience in Arts in Health or related fields.
● Demonstrated experience in developing and managing successful arts-based programs in
healthcare settings.
● Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, with a focus on impact
measurement and evaluation.
● Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple
initiatives simultaneously.
● Proven ability to translate research findings into actionable insights and tangible
outcomes.
● Experience designing and implementing impactful dissemination strategies for research
findings, including reports, publications, and presentations.
● Work samples demonstrating expertise in impact measurement and evaluation may be
requested.

This hybrid role is located in New York City. You will work from home except when visiting our partner sites in person throughout the city. Our administrative team works remotely primarily. Office hours are 10am-6pm ET, but some partner activities may be scheduled evenings and weekends, and you may flex your schedule accordingly.
