Seeking enthusiastic, exceptionally organized arts professional to join high-volume, three-person office of prominent classical musician
Responsibilities:
• Support artist in a range of performance, advocacy, and personal endeavors
• Advance artist’s special projects, especially ongoing initiative focused on arts and health, with research and document creation
• Maintain complex calendars, book travel
• Manage office IT and presentation technology for lectures and some performances
• Liaise with artist’s management, presenters, and institutional partners.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications
• Exacting attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and vanquish to-do list, with aptitude for multi-tasking and creation of systems to manage high volume of email and requests
• Music production and technology experience
• Superior writing skills
• Ability to represent well-known artist with diplomacy and absolute discretion
• Working knowledge of classical music
Preferred Qualifications:
• Applications from those with dual background in both artistic and scientific disciplines are encouraged
• 2-3 years’ experience in arts management, performance operations, or artistic production
• Proficiency with QLab, Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Audacity, and/or similar software
This is a hybrid-work position, combining remote work, on-site, and travel for performances and presentation.
Priority given to applicants based in or willing to relocate to the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
Hours include some evenings and weekends.
Due to artist’s frequent worldwide travel, communication outside of regular business hours is often required.
