NOAH is proud to announce its first annual conference

Dear Friends and Supporters of NOAH,

NOAH is proud to announce its first annual conference, to be held in conjunction with the 30th Healthcare Facilities Symposium and Expo (HFSE), September 18 – 20, 2017, in Austin, Texas. The HFSE was established in 1987 by Wayne Ruga as a forum that initiated the inquiry of how the design of the physical environment could positively affect healing and promote well-being. Their annual expo brings together over 1,000 leading healthcare architectural and interior design professionals, executives, researchers, manufacturers, and educators.

For Arts in Health professionals, this Symposium connects us with those who design, build, and own the facilities within which many of us work, and they with us – the people who create the art, arts programming, and collaborations with cultural and educational agencies and the medical and volunteer staff. We feel partnering with HFSE provides an exciting opportunity for these two important aspects of the creative community to come together, learn from each other, and establish strategic partnerships going forward to help us achieve our shared goals of enhancing the patient experience and human health and well-being.

For information on the larger Symposium and Exposition, please visit the HFSE’s website here. NOAH’s conference track information will be on the HFSE website shortly. NOAH is grateful for the friends and sponsors who have been instrumental in the success of its inaugural year, including its legacy organization, the Arts & Health Alliance.

Our conference attendees will have access to the keynotes, luncheons and expo events with the full conference as well as an Arts in Health track that will be open to our registrants and all conference attendees. Registration for the conference track will be $500 for NOAH members with an additional fee for non-members. We will provide information on hotels in the area that are quality but more affordable than the conference hotel for our attendees.

We are attaching information about the conference and a link to an on-line application for prospective presenters. We encourage you to apply to present and participate in this exciting conference. More information on the conference will be provided as it is available – please stay tuned for further announcements and for updates on our upcoming website.

For additional information, please feel free to contact NOAH’s Conference Chairs, Annette Ridenour and Katherine Trapanovski.

Sincerely,

Annette Ridenour, Co-Chair of the Conference
