The College of Fine Arts and partnering departments across Ohio University invite creative researchers, teachers and practitioners in the arts to address the theme of “Intersections: Arts and Health,” as part of the fifth Global Arts Symposium to be held April 2-3 at Ohio University.

As part of the Global Arts Festival at Ohio University, the College of Fine Arts, in collaboration with the Office of the President, Office of the Associate Provost of Global Affairs, Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, Office of the Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion, Campus Involvement Center, School of Music, School of Dance, College of Osteopathic Medicine, School of Visual Arts + Design, School of Films, and International Students Union, Center for International; Studies, African Studies Program, Master of Applied Arts in Health Program, Arts for Ohio and others are organizing this unique Symposium exploring the intersections between the Performing and Visual Arts and Health.

SCOPE
By providing a unique platform for sharing innovative approaches and cutting-edge research, this Symposium is not just a gathering; it’s a catalyst for change in the fields of Arts and Health.

Your proposals are eagerly awaited, as they are what make this Symposium truly special. We welcome a variety of formats, including individual papers, roundtables, workshops, panels, posters, performances, films, and other research and creative activity forms.

The symposium is accepting submissions on a rolling basis through Dec. 15, 2024. Proposals are submitted online with details found here – Early submissions are highly encouraged.
