Board members Melanie Cohn and Naj Wikoff were active participants in the planning of AFTA’s 2021 National Arts Action Summit.
Naj served on the Arts in Health and Arts in Health in the Military subcommittees, and Mel on the Creative Economy subcommittee. These committees developed legislation position papers that have been sent to all members of the House and Senate, and were provided to all attendees of the Summit so they could be used as talking points with their elected officials.
They both met with their Congressional representatives making the case for federal support of the arts using arts and health as examples.
